Creative Clinical Associates Inc. is a small outpatient counseling agency that specializes in meeting the unique needs of adolescents and their families in/around the Richmond area.
Traditional psychotherapeutic methods have been less than successful with adolescents. Adolescents are faced with forging an identity and differentiating from parents and family. Many adolescents differentiate in unhealthy ways which may include: drug use, sexual acting out, illegal activities and aggression.
Pyschotherapy, intensified through the use of experiential activities which are of interest to the adolescent encourages growth. The clinician's responsibility consists of identifying potential interests, assisting the adolescent in achieving mastery and ameliorating intrapsychic obstacles to success. The family is supported in playing an active role in the success of the adolescent as both parties interact with therapeutic counselors.
Our clinical services are delivered in a setting which can facilitate such experiential techniques as: mountain bike riding, music composition, art, weight training, karate, dirt bike riding, animal care and running.
CCA Inc. is located on 10+ beautiful acres perfectly situated to host a multitude of therapeutic activities that foster risk-taking and experimentation in a safe, supportive environment with caring treatment counselors.
